Conference Weekend
The weekend of General Conference is always one that I look forward to for a couple of different reasons. The first and probably most important is that we get to hear from the Prophet and general authorities. The next is that our family is together pretty much the entire time. We pretty much just stay home and it's nice to be around each other.
So Sunday morning I (Allison) woke up and mentioned that I really wanted cinnamon rolls and thought maybe I'd try making them. Somehow (and this happens often) I mention that I want something and Justin ends up being the maker. I personally love it. I'm glad in this particular instance, I was able to help by supplying the apron. And yes, Justin's cinnamon rolls were wonderful.
Between sessions on Saturday we decided to plant daffodils and tulips in our front yard for this spring. Emily was more than happy to help her daddy with more planting. Unfortunately for her, they won't bloom for several months. For the few days after planting she would run and check the window to see if her flowers were there. She's kind of forgotten about them now, so it will be a nice surprise when they show up this spring. (p.s. if you are somewhere where you grow tulips and daffodils, get your bulbs at Costco. You can get 100 or 90, i can't remember, for $20!!).
