YAAAY! We Graduated!!!

Grrrrr, we're real cougars
Emily had a photo shoot in the tulips after our graduation lunch
She also got a big hug from a moose

We're in that big mass of black somewhere.  Elder Bednar was our keynote speaker
Grandma and Grandpa Van Dusen, us, and Great Grandma Connie and Great Grandpa Ron
Great Grandma Alice, Grandma Radean, us, and Grandpa Shawn
We sacrificed our baby to the giant cougar

This week Allison and I graduated so we're finally done at BYU.  We graduated with the school of education so I felt a little out of place with all of the girls.  Elder Perry came to the ceremony and when he heard my major was exercise science we had a little 2-second interview on my physical fitness.  Apparently I passed and he gave me my diploma.  Grandma and Grandpa Pobst, Grandma and Grandpa Van Dusen, Great grandma Alice, and Great Grandma Connie and Great Grandpa Ron all came to visit.  Emily loved seeing her family and didn't lack for any attention this entire weekend

Emily and Nash

Here is a picture of Emily and her friend Nash (Jamie's little guy). They are both sweethearts! They have both grown up and are too cute so I wanted to show everyone. Nash is two months and Emily is four. Oh, and as you can see Emily is well into  her "holding things" stage. It is fun to watch her hold things and every once in a while "boing" herself in her head with one of her toys.

Hooray For The Office

Since The Office is returning tonight I think everyone should post their favorite office quote. I know it is hard to pick just one, so you can put multiple if you would like. Here are few of the memories I hold dear.

"I want to clamp Michael's face in a George Foreman grill." - Jim

"I saw Wedding Crashers accidentally. I bought a ticket for Grizzly Man and went into the wrong theater. After an hour, I figured I was in the wrong theater, but I kept waiting. That's the think about bear attacks. They come when you least expect it." -Dwight

"It is an outrage, that's all. They're making a huge, huge mistake. Let's see Josh replace these people. Let's see Josh find another Stanley. You think Stanley's grow on trees? Well they don't. There is no Stanley tree. Do you think the world is crawling with Phyllises? Show me that farm. With Phyllises and Kevins sprouting up all over the place. Ripe for the plucking. Show me that farm." - Michael

There are SO many more, but here is the last one...
"I saved a life- my own. Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes." -Michael

Conference Sleepyheads

Last weekend was Emily's first General Conference. She slept through most of it. However, as you can see from the other picture she got that trait from her daddy.

Fun Friday

Last Friday, we took a trip to the aquarium as a family.  We had a blast looking at the fish and petting the sting rays.  Emily liked taking pictures with the sharks and the puffer fish.  We brought our squirt guns with us and had a blast squirting little kids and watching them try to figure out where the water was coming from.  We found the perfect spot to squirt them as kids crawled through a little opening in some fake coral.  One particular girl took about 15 minutes looking around the coral while we peed our pants laughing as we squirted her while she searched.  It was a very fun trip

Lunch With The Girls and Mike

Last Saturday Emily and I went to lunch with my Aunt Susan, cousins Heather and Sarah, and Heather's husband Mike. It was funny because we (the adults) would be talking and Emily would start making all of her baby noises like she wanted to be a part of the conversation. It was so fun. Emily really likes restaurants. She is always fascinated by the decor and all of the people hustling and bustling along.

Emily wore her "Grandma Loves Me" outfit to get Aunt Susan excited for next month when she will become a grandma!! My cousin Austin and his wife Chelsey are expecting their first little girl.

Here are some pictures of Em with her new blanket from my friend Jeni. Bare skinned babies are pretty cute when they are brand new, but I love her with all of this chub!

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Bear- or My Daughter!

We had a late winter storm so Emily got to sport her very fashionable fuzzy vest. My mom and Aunt Susan bought it for her right after we found out we were having a baby and just crossed their fingers it would be a girl.

Forget crawling, Justin is teaching her to stand!

Do I want my paci or my hand? So hard to decide!!!

Emily has started eating her hand, sometimes she can't decide what she wants. The other day I was trying to put her paci in her mouth without looking. I was totally missing and probably poking her eye out. Well, she grabbed my hand and guided it to her mouth. It was pretty funny. Sometimes I think she thinks "Silly Mommy!!!!"

Like Mother Like Daughter

Here is Emily enjoying her bubble bath! Bath time is one of her very favorite times! She loves kicking and splashing. Most recently she likes staring at her reflection in the faucet.
