Halloween Party

Last night was our ward Halloween party. I would be lying if I told you everything went smoothly. Emily didn't take a nap during normal times so when she woke up from her makeshift nap about a half hour before the party she was GRUMPY. We couldn't get her to stop crying let alone put on a costume. So we were a half an hour late. Once we there it was much more fun. She was excited when she saw all of the other kids in their costumes. She would get all giddy when she saw a character she recognized (Buzz Lightyear, Tinkerbell, etc.) That was fun. They had a cupcake making station which was fun and cute. There was lots of stuff more geared toward the older kids. However, once the trunk-or-treat started, Emily thought she had died and gone to heaven. Unfortunately now we have oodles of candy that I personally don't want to eat and don't necessarily want Emily to eat so maybe that is what our trick or treaters will get...
