Vermont

In January we decided to take a little road trip with our friends the Bowlings'. We decided we would go to Vermont. The husbands' could spend a day snowboarding and then another day we would go to the Ben & Jerry's factory.

The factory was pretty neat. It had a fun relaxed atmosphere. Because we were there on a weekend the factory wasn't up and running so we watched little movie clips while looking at the manufacturing room. It's a pretty impressive set up.
Justin and I wishing we would cool like Ben & Jerry.

Emily & Ezra looking all adorable.

At the end of the tour they give you a sample of the flavor of the day. Our day it was mint chocolate chunk. I couldn't have been happier because that is basically one of my favorite ice cream flavors. The only that that would have made it better was if it was Phish Food. Yum. They have a giant replica of a carton of ice cream. It says "Euphoric Stuff" on it. I loved the face I got of Emily eating her ice cream.
They also have a mirror that, instead of making you short and fat like most goofy mirrors do, makes you tall and skinny. I want one for my house. It was a great motivator to eat less Ben and Jerry's and maybe exercise more.. we'll see.
Sometimes a sample just isn't enough. Here are Emily and Justin enjoying our giant ice cream cone we got to savor the goodness that is Ben and Jerry's.
Emily and Ezra were surprisingly pretty easy to entertain at the hotel. We just let them roam around and jump on the bed. We also spent several hours playing at the pool.
Vermont snow report. Justin said that the snow wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, but it was still pretty sticky.

So it was a fun trip and we can now check Vermont off our list of things to do while we are east coasters.

Looks like fun! Gotta LOVE Ben and Jerry's. Sounds like ice cream heaven to me. You guys are so lucky you live close to so many fun places. That is awesome.
What fun! I am loving all the one on one time you got to have with all the Disney Characters, and super impressed by Emily's braveness. Max has gotten better, but many a deep nails into my arms have I received from Max being Terrified by mascots and Smokey The Bear and other such creatures!

By the way, we all, especially Max, LOVE using the pop corn popper you gave us for our wedding so THANKS again for that!
