We Love our Lyla Girl
Lyla is growing up at an astronomical rate. I can't believe in less than a month she will be a whole year old. So, it's about time I give her a little shout out on the blog.
Lyla loves stuffed animals. Almost as much as Emily. We are really lucky that Emily is nice and is okay with sharing them. The girls will play in their room for a pretty good chunk of time. It's really funny to watch them. Lyla of course puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. Especially stuffed animals. We have one little kitty whose nose is slightly discolored because Lyla has "kissed" it so much.
Along with stuffed animals, the girl just loves animals. She gets excited around dogs and cats. Thank goodness we have good friends with pets so our girls get their fill playing with them.
So, funny Lyla story. This morning I was doing some stuff on the computer, Emily was watching cartoons, and Lyla was playing in her room. All of a sudden I hear Lyla crying like she is hurt. I rush into the room to find her in this position. Trying desperately to climb up on Emily's bed, but she can't.quite.figure.it.out. (Of course she is smiling here, because I grabbed the camera and she likes to look pretty for the camera). She was so frustrated. Lyla LOVES to climb. She climbs all over the playground and anywhere else she can. If they had baby rock climbing classes, we would be there daily.
Here is a shot of our little snuggle bear. I put Signing Time (one of the animal ones of course) on while I was making dinner the other night. Lyla snuggled up on her pillow with her polka (beloved polka dot blanket) and laid there for a while. This was picture worthy, because Lyla doesn't sit still for a minute, let alone a while- so it was rather tender.
Here's our little mamma walking around with a "bk". She pronounces just those sounds when talking about a book. It's really really cute. Of course it always happens too fast to get on camera, so sadly you'll have to take my word for it. Coming soon though will be videos of this little one cruising around. Last Wednesday (September 21) Lyla became a full time, full fledged walker.
Lyla is a pretty high maintenance little chicka, but it is all worth it. This little girl radiates love like you wouldn't believe. Everyday I snuggle her and can't believe I am lucky to have her with me forever and ever.
