Birthday Girl
A couple days ago was Emily's 2nd BIRTHDAY!!!! We had a pretty fun day even though it was snowy, rainy, and basically yucky. So we woke up and had chocolate chip pancakes. Second year in a row officially makes it a tradition. Then we took Justin to school and headed to the doctor for Emily's year check up. Then we got slammed with Emily having an ear infection! Stinky huh! Oh, but she is 33 in. and 27 pounds which puts her in the 50th percentile for both. Then we went home so Emily could take a nap. We played all afternoon and had a happy meal for lunch.
Later that evening, thanks to modern technology, we skyped Grandma and Grandpa Van Dusen and they watched Emily open her birthday presents! After that some friends came over for some yummy cake and ice cream. Emily had SO much fun with opening presents this year. She would open one and say things like "oh my goodness" over and over. Anyways, here are a couple pictures from the evening.
