Easter Fun

Easter festivities started out with a trip to see the Easter Bunny. There were so many flowers and eggs, it was hard to keep Emily's attention. She's getting so big! Here are our Easter baskets!

Emily's basket. Contents: BYU onsie, headband, Marvin Goldstein CD, Argyle leg warmers, Name blocks.

These are the blocks I made for Emily. I've been meaning to do it forever, but finally made myself get them done.

A funfilled Saturday

This morning Emily played with her monkey. He can wrap his arms all the way around her, but I doubt that will last for too long.
Then she slept while justin and I cleaned. Her headband is slowly becoming an eye patch.

Then a little play time with her daddy.

And, her not so favorite thing- tummy time.
Later we went to Home Depot and the mall. She loves going out and looking around at things. Justin and I are constantly amazed at how beautiful, well- behaved, and what a sweet heart our baby is.

Something Sweet

Okay, so I stole this from Eevi's blog, but I thought it was a sweet quote.

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Play Time part 2

So Emily is at this ridiculously fun stage in her life. (I know, parents of older babies are probably thinking "you have no idea what you're talking about.") Anyways, she wakes up in the morning and is such a happy little sweetheart. So most mornings we pull out a blanket and lay out all of her toys (thank you to her grandmas who keep her stocked up). She grabs them, eats them, coos at them. It is so much fun. So here are pictures of her sprawled out having a great time

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Pictured above is a picture of some of the finest cuisine you'll ever find. Just kidding. It is my stab this year at corned beef and cabbage a la crock pot. It was pretty good. Thank heavens for crock pots. They are wonderful inventions.

On St. Patty's day Emily and I had lunch at Chili's with our friends Jamie and Nash. You can't really tell here, but Emily is sporting a green and white checkered outfit. I'm bah humbugging and wore blue that day. Oops, too busy paying thinking about the babe.

Here's Emily with her cute green outfit and bow. This is also her newest discover- eating her clothes. Pretty gross, but pretty stinking cute too!

Poor Daddy

Justin got his tonsils out last week. We've spent the last week watching movies, eating popsicles, and taking long naps (well Justin anyways). Here's his first pic tonsil free.

Thanks For My New Swing

We got Emily a new swing that she loves! The other toys she loves are bright colors dangly toys, we got her one with fishies. She likes to watch them. Too cute!

Cute Smile!!
(Thanks Grandma)

Emily's First Trip

March 1st Emily went on her first airplane! We went to Arizona to say Happy Birthday Grandpa and meet all of my friends. We had fun going shopping, meeting my high school friends, meeting Grandma's friends, going for walks in the sunshine and having a "Meet Emily Baby Shower." Sadly I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked, but here are a few from her big adventure. Thanks Grandma for the ticket to come see you :)

Here's little Emily on the airplane! She was such a little champ. After a crazy adventure at the airport (getting her car seat/stroller taken apart and folded up with one hand, and then put back together again) Emily slept the entire time!

Emily had fun watching T.V. at Grandma's. Here she is watching a Warren Miller movie. She is dreaming of the day when her daddy takes her up to the mountain for her first ski lesson :). We're going to make her a pro.

Emily missed playing video games with her daddy, so she took some time to play Xbox with Uncle Aaron. She is also sporting her "Future Knight" onesie Aaron bought her to wear to his sporting events.

Emily and the girlees at her baby shower. Thank you to everyone who came and met Emily! We love all of her cute new clothes :)

Big Emily and Little Emily (and I snuck in there too)
Me and Emily met up with Jeni and Connelly (sorry Jeni if I spelled that incorrectly) at the airport for lunch. Isn't Connelly the cutest little boy :) He's a sweetheart.

Here's Grandma saying bye bye.

Bye Arizona!!
